About This Role
As a Cloud & AI Pre-Sales Specialist/Engineer, you will play a key role in driving cloud and AI adoption for enterprise clients. Acting as a trusted advisor during the pre-sales cycle, you will design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Vertex AI. You will work closely with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, while collaborating with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to craft impactful solutions. This role requires a strong blend of cloud architecture, AI/ML solutioning, and client-facing skills to align technology with business outcomes and drive successful deal closures.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers to understand business and technical requirements and design using Google Cloud AI services.
- Propose AI/ML and Generative AI use cases aligned with customer needs
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support during the sales cycle
- Deliver presentations, product demos, and technical discussions
- Engage with customers and act as a technical liaison throughout the sales cycle
- Conduct discovery sessions and technical workshops
- Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and validate solutions with customers
- Deliver demos on Google Cloud and Vertex AI solutions
- Prepare technical proposals, SOW, BOQ/BOM, and architecture documents
- Respond to RFPs with technical and functional inputs
- Conduct customer training and enablement sessions
- Stay updated on cloud, AI/ML, and Generative AI trends
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including HLDs and architecture diagrams
- Track and report pre-sales activities and pipeline status
- Ensure adherence to ISMS policies and information security practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in pre-sales or technical solutioning roles
- Basic knowledge of Python programming for automation, scripting, and AI/ML-related activities.
- Understanding of Prompt Engineering concepts and Generative AI workflows.
- Hands-on exposure to Google AI Services and Vertex AI solutions.
- Knowledge of BigQuery for cloud-based data analytics and reporting use cases.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong understanding of Vertex AI, AI/ML, and Generative AI concepts
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience in delivering client presentations, demos, and technical workshops
- Proficiency in preparing architecture documents, SOW, BOQ/BOM, and High-Level Designs (HLD)
- Experience in responding to RFPs with technical and functional inputs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work closely with sales teams to close complex deals
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
